  • Bike Happy is a cycling coaching company offering private/one-to-one cycle training for both adults and children in London.

  • We provide a range of courses tailored to your needs, including:

    • Learn to Ride – for complete beginners of any age

    • Improve Skills – for new and rusty riders who want to build confidence and control

    • Road Skills – for safe navigation of roads and traffic

    • Commute Confidently – for cycling confidence to and from work

    • Escape the City – for leisure and adventure cycling beyond London

  • Our Learn to Ride and Improve Skills courses are conducted in various central London parks. Our other courses are conducted in zones 1 and 2.

  • We provide a bike and helmet for our Adult Learn to Ride and Adult Improve Skills courses.

    Riders need to provide their own bike and helmet for all other courses. We can advise on a bike to buy or hire for the training, just ask us.

  • We do not provide bikes and helmets for our children’s courses. Riders will need to provide their own bike and helmet.

    We can advise on suitable bikes to buy or rent for the course, just ask us.

  • No. Please remember, it can take some people longer to learn new skills than others. Whilst our courses are designed to suit the needs of the vast majority of riders, it may take you or your child longer than the course duration to complete the training.

    If additional session(s) are required to complete the training (including our Learn to Ride courses), these will be charged at our standard hourly rate.

  • Rider safety is always our priority, so we will always use common sense when faced with adverse weather conditions.

    Due to the unpredictability of the British weather and the weather forecasts, we make the decision to postpone a booking due to adverse weather conditions, 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

  • Our course fee covers private/121 tuition with an experienced and highly rated cycle coach. Course fees also include our 45-60 minute travel time to meet you at your preferred park.

    For our Adult Learn to Ride and Improve Skills courses, our fees also include bike and helmet hire and any accidental damage caused to our equipment during the training.

    Our course fee also includes post-course WhatsApp support for as long as you need.

  • Yes, you will be in safe hands. Our coaching team are fully qualified and insured. We are also Enhanced DBS checked and first aid trained.

  • Not at all! Every year, we teach hundreds of adults to ride from scratch. Our oldest client was aged 84 when she learnt to cycle with us!

  • Absolutely. Many of our clients start out nervous or anxious about cycling on roads. Our training is designed to build your confidence and skills, at your own pace.

  • Yes. We have specialist methods and patient and fun cycle coaches who help children overcome frustration, fear, or balance challenges. Check out our Trustpilot reviews for feedback.

  • Our Adult Learn to Ride and Improve Skills courses are strictly individual/121.

  • Each child will need to book their own course, but we can organise things so consecutive slots can be allocated so siblings can learn in the same morning or afternoon. Drop us an email for more information.
